"ThoughtSol Runs for Women’s Safety at Subros Techcity Marathon"

This International Women’s Day was not just another day on the calendar for ThoughtSol, it was an opportunity to stand up for a cause that resonates deeply with our values: Women’s Safety. As a Corporate Sponsor Partner for the Subros Techcity Marathon, organized by Runex Sports, we were proud to contribute to an event that brought together individuals from all walks of life in support of this significant cause.

Marathons have always been about endurance, strength, and determination. But this event carried a deeper meaning. It was a powerful statement, a collective movement advocating for safer environments for women, both in public and professional spaces. The support and enthusiasm of everyone involved made it an unforgettable experience, proving that when a community unites for a purpose, real change can happen.

The Marathon Breakdown

The marathon was structured to accommodate participants of varying fitness levels, ensuring inclusivity for all. The categories were as follows:

• 1 km – Dedicated to young children
• 3 km – Completed within 30 minutes
• 5 km – Completed within 50 minutes
• 10.5 km – Completed within 1 hour 40 minutes
• 21 km – Completed within 3 hours

The event saw an enthusiastic participation of around 80 runners, including individuals from ThoughtSol and their families. Our participation numbers were just as inspiring as the cause itself. Among them, we had:

4 employees’ children participated in the 1 km category, embodying the spirit of an active and engaged youth.
33 runners challenged themselves in the 3 km category.
25 determined individuals took on the 5 km stretch.
7 dedicated participants ran the 10.5 km category.
10 endurance runners pushed their limits in the 21 km category.

These statistics reflect not just numbers but the enthusiasm, commitment, and unity of our ThoughtSol family. Seeing employees and their families come together for such a meaningful initiative was heartwarming and a proud moment for all of us.

The event commenced at the crack of dawn, 5 AM, with an energetic warm-up Zumba session that set the tone for the day. The excitement was palpable as runners from different categories geared up to make their way through the track. Whether they were seasoned runners or first-timers, the spirit of participation and the cause behind it fueled everyone’s determination. Being one of the 20 sponsors supporting this noble cause, ThoughtSol had an active presence throughout the event. Our dedicated stall at the venue became a hub of activity, where we engaged with participants, shared our vision, and demonstrated our unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Apart from the marathon itself, several wellness and safety initiatives were put in place to ensure the health and well-being of all participants. These included:

• A Physiotherapy Centre, offering support and recovery assistance for runners.
CPR Training & First Aid Sessions, educating attendees on handling medical emergencies.
Medical Assistance by MAX Healthcare, with fully equipped ambulances and healthcare vans for those needing immediate attention.

These facilities were a crucial part of the event, ensuring that every participant felt safe and supported while running for this important cause. The presence of healthcare professionals reassured runners that their well-being was a top priority, allowing them to focus on the race and their personal goals. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the marathon was the inclusion of families. It wasn’t just an event for individual runners; families of our team also participated, making it a true community affair. Parents ran alongside their children, colleagues cheered each other on, and friends motivated one another to reach the finish line. This sense of unity exemplified the strength that comes from collective action.

Every participant who successfully completed their respective marathon category within the stipulated time received a medal and certificate, a testament to their effort and endurance. But beyond the accolades, what mattered most was the sense of accomplishment that each runner carried home. For ThoughtSol, the highlight was receiving a memento of appreciation for our role as a Corporate Sponsor Partner. This recognition underscored our unwavering support for causes that align with our core values. At ThoughtSol, we believe in leveraging our platform to drive meaningful change.
